Joshua Tree Engagement Session – Michael + Jamie
Joshua Tree has always been somewhere I’ve enjoyed visiting. And it has recently become one of my favorite places to photograph at. The rocks and boulders, the cacti, the beautiful warm sunsets…it’s just absolutely breathtaking!
I met Jamie and Michael through Jamie’s coworker, Jenn, who happened to also be one of my friends and 2016 brides. Her and Jamie worked together and when Jamie saw their engagement photos, she asked Jenn for my information. I’m so thankful for that (thanks Jenn!) because Michael and Jamie are such amazing people and I could tell how awesome they were going to be from the very first time we met at our consultation. I’m so happy to have met them and been there not only to capture their engagement photos but also their gorgeous wedding day.
At our first meeting, we discussed where to do their engagement photos and decided on heading out to the desert and exploring Joshua Tree. Music is such a huge part of their lives and so Michael brought his guitar along so we could capture that important part of who they are and what they love. Michael proposed to Jamie at a concert in the middle of a mosh pit so naturally we had to include music into some of their photos. We had such a fun time and I absolutely love these photos of them!
