Q & A

Q: Where are you located?
A: I am based in the Southern California area, specifically the Inland Empire, but I love traveling for weddings and have my passport all ready to go!

Q: What do you shoot with?
A: I am a Canon girl. My primary camera body is a 5D Mark III and my secondary/backup camera body is a 5D Mark II. I shoot with a variety of professional grade lenses ranging from 28mm-100mm.

Q: Why do you include a second photographer in all of your wedding collections?
A: As a bride a few years back, I know how important it was for me to have certain pictures that I knew wouldn’t have gotten captured by just one photographer. As photographers we’re pretty awesome and can do a lot but being in two places at once is impossible for us. I always value having a second photographer there with me on your wedding day because it allows us to capture more of your day. It also allows us to capture different angles such as the bride walking down the aisle and the grooms reaction as he first sees her. So instead of trying to convince potential clients to include a second photographer in their wedding collection, I’ve already included one in all of my wedding collections.

Q: I noticed that most of your work is done with sunlight. Do you use any flash equipment in dark venues or during the reception?
A: Yes and yes. My style is defined by working with natural light. I try to use and soak up as much of the sunlight as I possibly can in all of my images. However, I understand that there are times such as during the reception or locations such as churches that there may be a lack of natural light or no sunlight at all. In those cases, I do have professional flash equipment that myself and my second photographer use.

Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes! Some venues require the photographer to have proof of liability insurance and I definitely have that and would be more than happy to send the certification over to your venue.

Q: Are you available for consultations?
A: Oh definitely! I love consultations because it gives me a chance to sit down with you and/or fiancĂ© and get to know the two of you! I believe that having a strong connection with your wedding photographer is super important and I don’t think a connection can necessarily be built over the internet or by phone. So lets grab some coffee and chat about the two of you and your wedding day!

Q: If we aren’t located in Southern California, can we do a Skype consultation?
A: Absolutely! I’ve done Skype consultations before and they are much more personal that just talking on the phone. So we can individually grab some coffee and chat via Skype! =)

Q: What is required to book you as our photographer?
A: I require a signed contract in addition to a 25% non-refundable retainer. The non-refundable retainer will go towards the total cost of your Collection.

Q: Where do you suggest we do our engagement session?
A: Luckily we live in Southern California where the beach is an hour in one direction and the mountains are an hour in the other direction. The possibilities are endless but it really depends on the two of you as a couple. If you both enjoy city life then we’ll find a fun spot in the city. If you both are beach babes, then we’ll head to one of our gorgeous beaches. It’s important for me to capture who you are as a couple so finding a location that’s meaningful to you really makes for an awesome engagement session.
