La Venta Inn Wedding - Palos Verdes, CA

Brittney and I instantly connected from our very first email because our names are spelt the same way.  Not going to lie, I was pretty excited about that!  It’s always nice to find another Brittney who spells their name the same way I do.  I met this darling couple at Panera Bread for our consultation and had so much fun learning about them, hearing about their relationship, family, etc.  Jeff used to live here in Southern California and then moved to Kansas and eventually met Brittney during their college years.  If we thought the world we lived in was small, it became a heck of a lot smaller when I started asking Jeff about living here in Southern California.  He grew up in my neighboring city so naturally I asked him what school he went to.  I attended a K-8th grade so when he said that he attended that same school I couldn’t believe it.  He was two grades above me but we were both in disbelief that we attended the same school at the same time for many years.  It’s so funny to think that we may have ran into each other during our years there and never thought anything of it.  Crazy right?! Jeff & Brittney’s wedding day was absolutely gorgeous.  From getting ready to their first look, to their beautiful ceremony..every bit of their wedding day was filled with so much love.  Their families just love and adore them and that was so apparent all throughout their day.  I always cry at weddings (I know, I live for all of the lovey dovey mushy gushy stuff) and it’s usually at a different point each wedding.  Sometimes it’s during the first dance, other times it’s during the ceremony.  With Jeff & Brittney’s wedding, I got emotional as she was walking down the aisle.  She has both her dad and stepdad in her life and love them both so much.  She had her stepdad walk her halfway down the aisle where he then handed her over to her dad to walk the rest of the way down to her groom.  I had never experienced that at a wedding and I thought it was so sweet and sentimental.  That just showed right there how much they love the people in their lives and how much those people love them back. I cannot possibly say enough about these newlyweds!  They are such sweet, caring, family oriented people and it was truly an honor to be there to not only witness their marriage but to be included as their photographer.  Congratulations again Jeff & Brittney!
