San Francisco Wedding - Cliff House - San Francisco, CA

In November, I had the pleasure of traveling with my good friend Heather of Heather Weems Photography to San Francisco to photograph a San Francisco wedding at the beautiful Cliff House.  I had been up to San Francisco once before quite a few years back but only remember visiting a few places like Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz.  The wedding was on Friday but we flew up on Thursday morning so that we could scout out some locations for bride and groom pictures.  Jamie and Elisa were such gracious hosts!  I know they had a million and one things to do before getting married the next day but they drove us to the Cliff House so that we could see the venue (and we had some amazing clam chowder there too, thanks Jamie!) as well as drove us into other parts of the city to check out some gorgeous spots.  On Thursday, we photographed all of Elisa’s gorgeous details (her jewelry, wedding dress, wedding rings, etc.) in the Nob hill neighborhood at the Scarlet Huntington hotel which was absolutely amazing!  It’s glamorous but yet so historic and nostalgic.  It was pouring rain all day on Thursday but on Friday, there was no rain at all!  Everyone really lucked out with the weather and although it was cold, it was a dry wedding day for these two.  I started early on Friday by hanging out with Jamie and his groomsmen in their room at the Nikko hotel and once everyone got dressed and ready to go, we headed downstairs for a few quick pictures in the lobby before getting into the limo and heading to the first look location.  The first look was so sweet!  Elisa totally teared up when they saw each other.  After the first look we headed to a few other spots which included Stow Lake and Golden Gate Park.  There honestly was not a bad spot in San Francisco for pictures.  We loved every location we stopped at.  They held a tea ceremony right before their traditional ceremony and it was such a neat thing to see since I had yet to experience a tea ceremony.  I had such a fun weekend with Jamie and Elisa, their family and friends and of course Heather!  Congratulations again you two!
