Southern California Family Photographer – Los Angeles Beach Session

I have known Jeff & Brittney for quite a few years. I photographed their wedding back in 2014 and since then I’ve photographed their maternity photos, lifestyle newborn sessions and now I get the joy of photographing their beautiful family. They have always loved the beach and naturally having such beautiful Southern California beaches, we knew photos on the sand and by the water was going to be the perfect setting for this year’s family session. We even got to celebrate their son’s 1st birthday by letting him enjoy some cake. To say he loved it would be an understatement!

I loved the casual vibe for their session. Years ago, family photos meant dressing up in fancy heels, ties and dress shirts. Nowadays, we want to focus more on the moments together and are really prioritizing presence over perfection. I am ALL for it and love how cozy & home-y it makes photos feel. Ultimately, these are your family moments. They are your kids childhood moments and your parenthood so have fun, dress for playing around in the water and focus on that quality time together as a family while I photograph it.
