Charles & Jenelle – Pechanga Wedding at Journey’s End in Temecula, CA
My favorite thing about being a Temecula wedding photographer is photographing at all of these beautiful venues located in Temecula. There are so much variety from the casino, to the wineries, farms, etc. It’s impossible to get tired of photographing in such a beautiful place.
I feel like so many of the blog posts for my 2016 weddings are going to have the first sentence start off with “I knew the bride in high school”. So many of my high school friends have gotten married over the past year and I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of their special days! So here we go… I’ve known Jenelle since high school. (Did you see that one coming? haha). She was a year younger than me and in the same graduating class as my husband. We even went to their senior prom together in a small group and rented a limo. It was so much fun and something I will always remember!
How their story began
Charles and Jenelle’s story began in January 2009 when they were both attending college at Mt. Sac. Jenelle was pursuing a nursing career while Charles was studying to be an engineer. They both needed a Psychics class for their prerequisites and it was in that class that they first met. I always love hearing the stories of how my couples first met each other. Every story and every couple is so unique and no two stories are ever the same. Charles and Jenelle continued dating throughout the remaining years of college and on New Years Eve in 2014, Charles proposed to Jenelle as the ball dropped at midnight. I remember how excited she was when she posted about her and Charles being engaged and I was so happy to hear that she had found her dream man.
The Wedding Day
They planned for a beautiful wedding at Journey’s End at the Pechanga Casino in gorgeous Temecula. For it being in May, it was surprisingly chilly because there was a pretty big breeze that day. When I took the girls out to do the photos of Jenelle and her bridesmaids, it was super cold and everyone had goosebumps! Especially Jenelle’s sweet little flower girl who happened to be her niece. They were such troopers and toughed it out and we got some great photos of these lovely ladies.
Their wedding ceremony happened on the lawn and they had a large tree and rolling hills in the background behind them. Charles’ face when he saw Jenelle coming down the aisle was priceless. Charles has such an infectious smile and when you see it, it makes you smile as well. As soon as he saw his beautiful bride, his face lit up. I always love to see how the groom reacts when he sees his bride walking down the aisle towards him and Charles’ reaction is hands down one of my all time favorites. The ceremony was so sweet and heart felt. Once they exchanged rings, said their vows and sealed them with a kiss, they were officially husband and wife!
Their bride and groom photos were so much fun! Journey’s End has so many awesome places for photos and one of those places being a large wooden bridge that Charles and Jenelle totally fell in love with. We had such a great time photographing these two in their newlywed bliss and got so many beautiful photos of them together.
Their wedding reception was seriously amazing! I don’t think I have ever seen a dance floor that packed at a wedding. And it was like that all night long. Wedding guests know how to party and that was definitely the case with these guests. It was such a great party and their DJ was extremely entertaining and played awesome music. Charles and Jenelle, I had such a fun time at your wedding and I’m so happy for the two of you. Here’s to many years of love and happiness and lots of babies!!
