Laguna Beach Maternity Session – Orange County, CA
Dan reached out to me earlier this year wanting to get information about doing a Laguna Beach maternity session for him and his beautiful wife, Lauren. They are expecting their first baby, a baby girl, very soon and wanted to document this special time in their lives. After chatting a bit more about what their vision was, we chose this location in Laguna Beach. It not only offers beautiful beach views from above but the beach itself is beautiful and has really pretty cliffs and rock that only add to the beauty. Some beaches are just flat and generic looking and don’t offer much texture other sand and water so I always recommend doing your session at a beach that has more to offer like this one does.
Dan and Lauren brought their first baby, their fur baby Kaia, to the session and she did so good and got tons of snuggles from Mom and Dad. Lauren started in a beautiful blue floral dress and then changed halfway through into a beautiful pink dress. The beach doesn’t always offer a bathroom or a location to change outfits so if you’re planning a session and want to do an outfit change, make sure your outfits are easy to get in and out of and/or bring a few towels and we can create a barricade for you to change in.
We have had so much gloom this year at the beach and unfortunately we didn’t get much sun for their session. Regardless of it being darker and gloomy, I’m still so happy with how the photos came out and they loved them which is what matters most. I had such a wonderful time with this sweet couple and since they bundled their maternity session with an at home lifestyle newborn session, I’ll be seeing them in just a few short weeks to photograph them again with their precious little girl.
