David and Erin had an absolute perfect wedding day! Their beautiful Orange County Wedding took place in Huntington Beach, CA at the Venue by Three Petals. It was sunny, the weather was amazing and both David and Erin were so excited to marry each other. These two met at work! Erin was promoted and transferred from the Fullerton courthouse to the Newport Beach courthouse and upon arriving at her new location, David was her trainer. Erin said, “I say it was fate because his supervisor asked him to cancel his vacation days so he could train me. He wasn’t even supposed to be at work! So, who knows if he had decided to take vacation if we would have gotten to know each other that well if even at all since we would be in two different departments.”
After dating for sometime, David knew Erin was the one. On Thanksgiving Day in 2014, he was going to ask her to marry him. They had all of their immediate family members over for Thanksgiving and they all took turns saying what they are thankful for. He made sure he went last and the rest is history! Erin had her suspicions of the proposal only because her brother was in town and David had previously mentioned wanting to propose in front of their families. Regardless of any suspicions, Erin was so excited and of course said yes!
Their wedding day came and both of them were so calm. David spent the morning getting ready with his groomsmen while Erin spent the morning at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach with her lovely bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. Once Erin was in her beautiful wedding dress, she opened her gift from David. It was a little book of reasons why he loves her and it was so cute to watch her expressions and reactions as she flipped through the pages. David opened his gift from Erin and it was a book of boudoir photos that I had done for her the month before their wedding. She is absolutely stunning and it honestly took David’s breath away flipping through her well thoughtout gift. He even got a little emotional and I know it’s because he was just so happy to be marrying the love of his life in a few short hours. Family is extremely important to both David and Erin and because of that, Erin wanted to do a special first look with her Dad. I lined her Dad up outside of her hotel room and when she was ready, she walked out and tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around he was blown away at the sight of his baby girl in her wedding dress. If you are a bride and comtemplating doing a first look with your dad, definitely do it! It’s one of my favorite parts of the wedding day and the photos we get from that moment are absolutely priceless. Erin and her dad were crying, her mom was crying, even the wedding coordinator and myself were crying watching this special interaction unfold. After doing a few touchups to makeup, it was time for Erin to do the first look with her handsom groom. They wrote each other letters and read them back to back before turning around and seeing each other for the first time. They both started to cry as they were reading the letters and once they finished, they turned to face each other and were finally able to hug one another. David was in awe of his gorgeous bride and when the two of them were talking and looking at each other it was like the whole world stopped and it was just them.
The entire wedding day could not have gone more smoothly and I was so very honored to be a part of David and Erin’s big day. They have quickly become wonderful friends and I know I will cherish they’re friendship for the rest of my life. I just love and adore them so much and guys, I’m so so happy that you found your other half!
