Carlsbad Wedding // Jacob + Jordan

It was a cool October day by the beach for Jacob and Jordan’s beautiful Carlsbad Wedding.  Jacob and Jordan were each getting ready in their own rooms.. Jordan surrounded by her mom, sister and bridesmaids while Jacob was not far away getting ready with his parents, brother and groomsmen.  They chose to get married at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort in Carlsbad, CA and let me tell you, it lived up to it’s grand name.  The rooms were gorgeous, the lobby is incredible and the ceremony site where Jacob and Jordan said their ‘I Do’s” was breathtaking.

Jordan had her dress designed and made by the very talented Michael Costello of Michael Costello Couture.  I have never seen a dress like it and probably never will.  It was very unique, one of a kind and fit Jordan perfectly.  Her dress, paired with her Badgley Mischka shoes, made her look like a supermodel getting ready to walk down the runway but on this day the runway was her ceremony aisle.

The entire day was very emotional, in a good way.  Jordan had such a sweet moment with her dad as she did a first look with him.  And of course seeing Jacob light up and get teary eyed as he saw his bride walking towards him during the ceremony was a special moment for everyone there, me included!  I photograph a lot of weddings and the moment the groom sees his bride never ever gets old.  That raw emotion, happiness and sometimes tears are proof of how much they adore their sweet brides.  The first dances with their parents were very special and Jordan treasured that moment of dancing with her dad as she held on tight to him.  They are two of the sweetest people and it was so apparent how much they loved each other and their families.  I was so honored to photograph this unbelievable day and I could not possibly be happier for the two of them!
