Nick + Crystal // Laguna Beach Engagement Session

Word of mouth referrals are my absolute favorite.  I love getting to photograph friends + family members of past clients!  Crystal is friends with one of my past clients, Stephanie and Daniel, and saw the engagement session I did for them.  Due to Crystal’s love of their photos, she got in touch with me about doing engagement photos for her and her fiancé Nick.  They are planning a destination wedding in Cancun and because of that, wanted to have their engagement session at the beach so that it would tie into their beach themed destination wedding.  One of my favorite beach locations to photograph at is of course Laguna Beach.  It has the perfect amount of fun, urban areas that have a lot of brick walls, cool alleyways, wall murals, etc. but also has the opposite feel with the soft and romantic beach locations.

I remember Crystal telling me in her very first email that they are both pretty uncomfortable in front of the camera. Honestly, by looking at their photos, you could never tell that they were uncomfortable.  They were complete naturals in front of the camera which made it super easy on me!  I love capturing emotion in my work and there were a lot of laughs in addition to a lot of sweet, romantic moments during their session.  Getting to marry your best friend is such an amazing feeling and I was honored to capture Nick & Crystal’s love story.
