One thing I’ve learned since becoming a Wedding Photographer is how much fun I have traveling! I haven’t done much traveling before and I’m extremely grateful that I get to travel for weddings! I have always wanted to visit Washington and photograph a Seattle Wedding either in downtown Seattle or near Seattle and I had that wonderful opportunity in the town of Anacortes in December. In our line of work, a word of mouth referral means the absolute world to us. One of my close friends Heather, who is also an amazing photographer, asked me to photograph her best friends wedding. I feel so extremely grateful that she trusted me and connected me this beautiful bride. When I first talked to Candis I could immediately tell how sweet and big-hearted she was. Usually your first impression of someone is correct and my first impression of Candis was spot on. She has been through a lot in her life but she has come out of everything with such a positive attitude and loving, caring spirit. She cares so much about her friends and family and it was very apparent on her wedding day how much they all loved and cared for her as well. One such person is her groom, Jason. Jason is such a wonderful guy and he treats Candis like the princess she is. They radiate happiness when they are around each other and it’s so refreshing to see that. One of my favorite moments of the whole day was when Candis got into her chair that her stepdad made her. It was taller than her wheelchair and allowed her to dance with Jason and her stepdad face to face. It was such a sweet moment and I don’t think there was a dry eye anywhere! I’m very blessed to have met Jason, Candis and their families. I can’t begin to describe how much I appreciated everyones hospitality that whole weekend I spent with them. Congratulations again you two on your beautiful wedding and beginning your marriage as husband and wife!!
